Toronto’s most recognizable street art wasn’t created by a single artist. Graffiti Alley evolved layer by layer, artist by artist, becoming a living canvas shaped by an entire creative community. Coral reefs tell a remarkably similar story. Built over generations by thousands of tiny coral polyps and countless other marine organisms, reefs are living communities where color, structure, and biodiversity come together. Each organism contributes to something much larger than itself. Graffiti Reef draws a connection between these two worlds—one created by people and one created by nature.
